Tuesdays 'THANKFUL THOTS'

Short and sweet this week:

1. Ipod Nano - quickly becoming my best friend on walks. I've downloaded some old music that I can get lost in while walking. Before I know it 40 minutes has zipped by.

2. Warm blankets - love crawling into a chilly bed and quickly warming up.

3. Chocolate - ahhh so little time and so much chocolate!

What are your 'Thankful Thots'

Tuesdays '3 Thankful Thots'

- I am thankful for the family and friends that are such an amazing part of my life. Whether we see each other once every so often or a couple times each day, you are all part of the stitching that keeps my stuffin in!

- I am thankful to have a job that not only provides a pay cheque but also gives me the opportunity to work with some fun, considerate and caring people.

- I am thankful for the gift of humour for it keeps me sane most days.

What are your 3 Thankful thots?

A Woman's Dictionary for Men

9 WORDS WOMEN USE (and the true meaning)

1)Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument, when they are right and you need to shut up.

(2)Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

(3)Nothing
: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

(4)Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Do Not Do It!

(5)Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)

(6)That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

(7)Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - then it is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' ... that will bring on a 'whatever').

(8) Whatever: Is a women's way of saying SCREW YOU!

(9)Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.

Wow what a weekend!

Holy crap talk about a whirlwind weekend! Laura and I put in about 2400 km this weekend and it was a fun time. Damon was competing in gymnastics and I was her travelling sidekick.

I got to see Tiffany (our cousin and her new baby Cole), my Mommy and my sis and family. Good lord I can't believe how big all the kids are getting! We had lots of laughs, some good conversations and last night we were getting road crazy and decided that Laura needed some animals on their property...she contemplated horses, then we talked about geese and how flipping territorial they are. We'd both been chased by geese as kids, lol. We finally decided that she should start a farm with donkeys and call it the "Taylors Ass Farm". The starting herd could be Stinky, Hard, Iman, Uran, Flat and Hairy...k, so maybe you had to be there, lol. For those who are having a hard time getting it...say Ass after each of those names k.

Glad to be home, worked today and am now heading to bed to finish my book and get a full nights sleep.

SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES!

AMAZING SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES

1. IF YOU'RE CHOKING ON AN ICE CUBE, SIMPLY POUR A CUP OF BOILING WATER DOWN YOUR THROAT. PRESTO! THE BLOCKAGE WILL INSTANTLY REMOVE ITSELF.

2. AVOID CUTTING YOURSELF WHEN SLICING VEGETABLES BY GETTING SOMEONE ELSE TO HOLD THE VEGETABLES WHILE YOU CHOP.

3. AVOID ARGUMENTS WITH THE FEMALES ABOUT LIFTING THE TOILET SEAT BY USING THE SINK.

4. FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE SUFFERERS ~ SIMPLY CUT YOURSELF AND BLEED FOR A FEW MINUTES, THUS REDUCING THE PRESSURE ON YOUR VEINS. REMEMBER TO USE A TIMER.

5. A MOUSE TRAP PLACED ON TOP OF YOUR ALARM CLOCK WILL PREVENT YOU FROM ROLLING OVER AND GOING BACK TO SLEEP AFTER YOU HIT THE SNOOZE BUTTON.

6. IF YOU HAVE A BAD COUGH, TAKE A LARGE DOSE OF LAXATIVES. THEN YOU'LL BE AFRAID TO COUGH.

7. YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

8. REMEMBER - EVERYONE SEEMS NORMAL UNTIL YOU GET TO KNOW THEM.

9. IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

DAILY THOUGHT: SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES - NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS.
